Riedergarden

The Riedergarten park

In 1729, this ‘private garden’ was created by the City Pharmacist of Rosenheim and functioned predominantly as a medicinal plant and herb garden. In 1925, it was sold to the city as a ‘summer garden’ by the physician Dr Hermann Rieder. For the Bavarian State Garden Show in 2010, a pharmacist’s garden with medicinal herbs was planted here again, and it now serves as an oasis of peace in the middle of the city for tourists and locals alike.
