Ludwigsplatz square

This square was once part of the so-called Outer Market, which was created as a result of Rosenheim’s expansion in the 15th century. In more recent years, however, it has been completely redesigned, including the partial reopening of the stream running through the city.

An eye-catching feature of the Ludwigsplatz square is its fish fountain, which was created by Prof. Albertshofer in 1928 and acts as a striking reminder that fish used to be sold here. Nowadays, the Green Market is held here almost every day.
