Town hall or police station?

Although it became famous as the police station for the German television series “Die Rosenheim-Cops”, Rosenheim’s City Hall, the Rathaus, can actually look back on an eventful history: In 1858, after three years of construction, the building was officially opened as Rosenheim’s first railway station. The station was considered one of the most beautiful in Bavaria. In as early as 1878, however, the building ceased to serve its original purpose as a railway station and became the City Hall instead. Up to 1997, numerous alterations, demolitions and extensions took place inside the building.
